Phew… it’s been a while. 2017 came and went and we’re already sprinting into 2018! What a year, what a year.
I wanted to take a moment to reflect on 2017 and all the great things I accomplished. I also want to dive into some of the goals I have for 2018.
On top of all of those things, I’m going to be blessing you with some bomb pictures with some bomb clothes that I recently received or purchased. Remember, Unbothered Style isn’t a fashion blog, but I think we’re safe to divulge in the latest fashions from time to time. Don’t forget to stick around until the end of this post and shop my looks!
PS. I MISSED YOU ALL! I know this break was longer than I expected but I’m back… I promise!
So let’s jump right in, shall we? Now as I think back on 2017, all I can say is “Wow, how is it already over?” It doesn’t even feel like I’ve done all that I could have done but when I think about it, I had some major accomplishments! Here are a few:
- I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree
- I started Graduate School and finished my first two semesters (One more to go!)
- I was baptized and grew in faith
- I went to NYC and attended AfroPunk
- I HAD PINK HAIR!!
- I started my blog
- I was offered and accepted a full-time position after I graduate in May
- I went to SXSW in Austin
- I celebrated my 2nd AKAversery
- I am HEALTHY and ALIVE
And that’s only 10 things! I am so incredibly blessed to live the life I live and experience the things I have. Life is something that I will never take for granted and I thank God for waking me up every day! 2017 was incredible and I can’t even complain about anything. I can only hope that 2018 treats me just as great, or even better than 2017.
In 2018, I have a whole list of things that I want to accomplish as a real adult. I’m graduating soon and real life is hitting hard… already. With this in mind, it’s so important for me to have goals this year. Here’s a taste of a few on my list:
- Buy a new car
- Invest my money
- Lose 30 pounds (ambitious much?)
- Meal prep/just eat more healthy
- Give more without expectations of something
- Start accruing revenue from my blog/start selling merchandise
- Find a new church home
- Go on a tropical vacation
- Save, Save, Save!
- Be more social – Network & Connect!
This year I have goals to do things bigger and better than I’ve ever done them. I want to inspire more people and be way less judgmental. I want to be more optimistic about life and what I can actually accomplish.
This year is not for the weak-minded. I have to be strong… mind, body, and soul. This year I’m winning and living my best life.
Until Next Time –
