I’ve been forming a nice little stash of new beauty buys and this week I wanted to highlight some of these popular products to tell you if they are worth the hype or not. If you keep up with the beauty world, then you know that these products are really hot on the market right now! Keep on reading to read my brief review on each of the 7 products! Are they HOT or NOT?
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
I’ve used this product only a few times but I will say it is very creamy (hence the name). Even though it’s creamy and great, it reminds me so much of my Maybelline Fit Me concealer that I already own and love. To be honest, it’s probably a dupe for it but my Fit Me concealer is actually better! I still love the Nars concealer and think it works great but my Fit Me just blends better… As crazy as that sounds (since one is $30 and the other is about $9) it’s the truth!
Truthfully, as long as the Fit Me concealer is still being sold and still works, I probably won’t buy this concealer again!
Elf Blush Kit in Dark
Coming from ALWAYS using a Mac Blush to now using a $6 blush set, I’m pretty freaking impressed! The color pay off is so great and a little truly goes a long way. I use the “Dark” set and the colors really do complement darker skin tones. Two of the shades also have a little glitter in them so they can create a blush and highlight effect if you apply it right.
Elf is really stepping up their game and I’m so excited to try more from them!
Mac’s Fix+ Spray
Okay, okay. I honestly added this in here as a joke because if you’ve been around since the beginning you know this stuff is like holy water to me. I won’t write a whole paragraph about the spray but just know I use this stuff for everything! (If you want to read more about this spray head over to this post) I’m so close to running out so I re-upped this month and I’m so giddy to start using my fresh, new bottle.
Jaclyn Hill Palette
This is one of the most highly anticipated/reviewed palettes out there right now! I was lucky enough to get my hands on it the first launch date and couldn’t wait to dive into it. Well… I’ve only really played with it once or twice since I got it over a month ago and I’m a little underwhelmed. Yes, the colors are gorgeous and swatch beautifully but the neutral colors on my dark skin just don’t pop. Even so, the shades are buttery and highly pigmented! I don’t own many palettes (besides my custom Z-palette) but this is a great palette to have because of its wide color range. I just hope I start to reach for it more…

I’ve always been a fan of KoKo Lashes and I recently saw that they came out with new lash styles. I, of course, had to pick some up and I got the styles Madame Wispy, Soho, and Misha. Each of these styles are pretty similar, but they vary in length and fullness. I love Madame Wispy because honestly, there is not a wispy lash that I don’t love. They are the perfect everyday lash and look great on just about any one.
Soho is a whole lotta lash! It is the longest & thickest of the three and kind of overpower my eyes. (TIP: If you have hooded or smaller eyes, long/fuller lashes may overpower your eyes and give you TOO much drama.) I love drama but on the right occasions.
Misha is the shortest of the two and mimics my favorite lashes of all time, Ardell Demi’s! They could probably be complete dupes for each other but I don’t mind! I love them both either way.
Of the three, Madame Wispy and Misha are my favorites. I will probably be giving Soho away to a family member to enjoy!
L’oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise
I decided to go ahead a snatch the new mascara from L’oreal everyone is talking about! It pretty much sealed the deal once I saw Jaclyn Hill talk about it on her Snapchat and I saw what it did to her lashes. This mascara didn’t provide much length to my lashes but it definitely did a great job of separating and volumizing. The mascara is basically a dupe for the Better than Sex mascara that is a known fan fave by Too Faced Cosmetics (& the packaging is so similar!). I personally think it works great and I believe it’s worth the $8!
Wet N Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder
This highlighter was introduced to me by Raven Elyse on her Snapchat story, a while ago (You can tell I’m highly influenced)! I didn’t quite believe that it would work that well, being that it’s a Wet N’ Wild product, but to my surprise, it is so pigmented! It doesn’t take much to get the product on the brush and it’s not too powdery or too glittery. The consistency is VERY creamy and not what I expected at all. I got the warmest gold of the shades (Crown of my Canopy) because I like warmer highlights more than pink/white highlighters. Overall, A++!
I am definitely impressed with these products and can see why so many of them are so popular right now. None of the products were NOT’s (I’m very generous!) so they all have something about them that make them HOT!
Have you tried any of these products? If so, which ones are your favorite and why?! Let me know in the comments!
Until Next Time –
