I started this post wanting it to be very uplifting and hopeful for anyone who happens to stumble upon it (not that it can’t or won’t be) but when I sat down to write, I ended up feeling more moved and humbled than I’d originally anticipated. Reading through these verses, I’m reminded of how far they’ve brought me in growing myself spiritually and now make me appreciate the life I live more than anything. I won’t introduce this post in a long, drawn out fashion (because I think it speaks for itself) but I do hope these verses can bring you some clarity and hope too… if you need it.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Delight yourself also in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in him, and He shall bring it to pass.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
Jesus said to him, “’You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.
“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”
The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
1 Corinthians 16:13
Watch; stand fast in the faith; be brave; be strong.
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Be Blessed –
